The 10th annual Motatapu event has been dubbed as success as olympic athletes competed and records were broken.
Held in Wanaka and Queenstown last weekend (Saturday March 8) the Motatapu off road sporting event was nothing less than spectacular.
With riders ranging from 15 to 85 and beginners to Olympians, the 4000 participants were set for a good time.
Both the male and female Miner’s Trail records being broken.
Alun Williams of Queenstown setting a new course record of 1hr 16min 29sec for the 15km mountain run.
Olympian Nicky Samuels of Wanaka broke her own course record by 4 minutes.
